My plea for this generation is the same of Jesus Christ in John 17:24, that “they may behold my glory.” And for the people who do have a true and steady view of His Glory will have the strength to honestly say, “to live is Christ and to die is gain.( Philippians 1:21)” This will not happen if your view of God is clouded by a man-centered philosophy of God, being nothing more and just a fairly nice, powerful dad, who, out of need of relationship, create you and I.  This will not happen if our view of Gods Greatness is obscured.   We need to get back to beholding those Qualities that God so repeatedly displayed to us, His Supremacy and Mercy, His Grace and Sovereignty, His Love and Power, His Wisdom and Faithfulness.

            God has reveled Himself to us through His word. And this reveled word of God tells us that this is “eternal life that they may know you the only true God and Jesus Christ”(John 17:3).  Therefore our life was given to us to “know” “God” and His Son “Jesus Christ.” But more specifically we are to know the Greatness or Glory of God.  “That they my behold my Glory”, is the last great request of our blessed Savoir for His blood bought church.

My prayer for you is that God will allow you to see how Great He is. How unsearchable is His Nature and works. For if you do you will find out how losing yourself in this world and finding it in Jesus is infinitely more satisfying. Then you will know why dieing to yourself and living for Jesus is the truest source of satisfaction and peace available. To the degree you are in total awe of the Glory of Jesus Christ’s Supremacy and Grace is the degree you will find pleasure in this life and Pleasure forever more in the life that is to come. You were created to know and enjoy how Great is the “unsearchable riches(Ephesians 3:8) ” of God and Jesus Christ, who is the “Lords of Lords” the “beginning and the End”, the “Bright morning Star”, the  “Highly Exalted One,” who also willingly submitted, at one point, for our sakes and became known as the “man of sorrows.”  Therefore let all say, “Christ is all” in all.”(Colossians 3:11)

            Allow me to exhort you, not read your bible with a view of marriage and church ministries topics, but instead to see How Great your Christ Jesus is. Read books like A. W. Pink “The nature of God”, or John Omen’s and the “Glory of Christ” or John Piper and “The pleasures of God.”  So that you will come to the same place as Paul did in Romans 11: 34, "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" For from him and through him and to him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.”
