For practicality try this.

The Gospel is: God in His eternal counsels, freely choosing to save sinful men from His wrath, by sending His Son Jesus to die and to be condemned in their place, at the same time imparting Christ own righteousness that he lived to them as if they had lived it them selves, thus giving them eternal life, so that they might Glorify God for his Mercy by enjoying him forever. This is Good News

Try using this second half of the gospel to answer the WHY in your daily living. Don’t forget if you want to Honor Jesus you must be satisfied in Him as the greatest treasure in the entire world.

Example:   Why should I do my daily Christian disciplines?

        Why should I put all this effort and time in this whole God thing when I could be enjoying my sins of sex, perverted joking, gossiping, lying, cheating, self-centeredness, showing partiality, manipulating people and being the cool (pride), food, indulging into to much TV, entertainment and so on! Understand that anything you desire, think about, Do or Act in life more than God is idolatry.

        The reason we discipline ourselves and fight sin, is because it is the fight for enjoying the Highest Pleasure known to man, to behold Jesus Christ. For Matthew says that the, “pure in heart will SEE GOD”. Look at God until you see HIM. Discipline yourself in the God given wisdom laid out for you in scripture because in doing so you will be more pure in heart, meaning you will experience more joy as you see your Glorious God better. As I am myself striving to grow in everyday.

We do these things because we are looking to the reward. (Hebrews 11:6, 25-26 & 12:2)

Real faith is believing and also delighting in what you believe in. That is a spiritual faith that only God and give. This implies we need to pray with humility for God to grant us this gift, a gift he loves to give. We need to seek to know the Gospel, all of it very well. We must know and daily share it with the people around us. So for the Glory of God, “give yourself entirely” to “scripture, exhorting and doctrine.”

1 Timothy 4:13, “Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. (15) Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them…(16) Take heed to (your life) and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”

          Matthew 13:44 "… heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”
