Jeremiah 2:13
"For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns -- broken cisterns that can hold no water."
The “eyes” of man are “never satisfied”; therefore according to our verse all mankind is looking for that total Satisfaction, no matter what it might look like. People are so bent on finding this satisfaction that they are willing to “forsake” God who is a fresh cool spring of overflowing Pleasure and satisfaction and drink from a stagnate broking well(the world, sex, food, false Gods.. etc..) that can not satisfy.
I have heard it wrongly said before that we have a “God shaped hole that only God and fill.” But that is only partly true, because our “Whole Heart”, soul and body was shaped for God and God alone, not just a mere part or piece of it.
The bible also tells us that the natural man “hates God” and that he cannot submit to God or His laws. Therefore man will do all he can to conjure up something, whether it is a false God, philosophy, evolution, atheism, pleasure, money, endless friends, endless parties, any thing that will allow him to escape being accountable to God and thus allowing him or her to be free in at lest some ways to pursue their fleeting pleasures.
Therefore what is the wisdom of God given to us in light of all this?
Isaiah 55:1,6,7
"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.”

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
John 14:6
“Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Christ is God, and only He can satisfy the heart that He Himself designed and knit together. Thus I encourage all don’t turn to the left or right but look steadily and diligently straight ahead with the eyes of faith on the Glory of our Great God and Savoir Jesus Christ, who is the Fountain of LIFE itself. God designed that only an INFINITE greatness will satisfy our hearts. And the soul which tries to find satisfaction from anywhere else will find that death is where all others paths lead to. For you wrong you own soul by constantly filling it with less than the infinite Glory and Light, for which it was designed for, which Jesus Christ alone possesses, for He is the “light of life”( John 8:12). Oh sinner humble yourself and bear fruit worthy of repentance toward God and find for yourself that He is Good! Our God is an awesome God, for who compares to Him!
