Ephesians 1:13“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
The seal is the actual "Holy Spirit of promise".
Without this seal of God’s Spirit in our hearts no one will enter into Heaven. Human works will not "guarantee" your inheritance to be with King Jesus, the Holy Spirit living in your heart is the living "seal", that is the only means by which God will allow one into His glorious presence. Do you have this seal on your hearts of the living Holy Spirit? Do you have the “fruits of the spirit” daily being produced in your life to give proof of this living seal upon your soul? If not then I encourage all to repent of your sins and throw yourself on the mercy given to all men in the Lord Jesus Christ. Because for those who believe. He is the only one who has the authority to give this “gift” of the Holy Spirit.
John 15:26, " But when the Helper comes, whom I[Jesus] shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father.”
And what will the Glorious Holy Spirit do when Jesus sends Him?
John 16:13, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;”
Ezekiel 11:19, "Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, "that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.” Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”
The scriptures tell us God will put His laws into our hearts and minds. How is this accomplished? The Glorious “Helper” the Holy Spirit, has already been taught by Christ as the means by which true sons and daughters of light are “guided…into all truth.” If this is so, then this is none other than the wonderful work of the Holy Spirit, which the Father says He “will put [His] laws into [our] hearts and in [our] minds.” And all this happens after we are “born of Spirit”, as the scriptures have already declared.
John 3:5, “Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of…the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
I hope it is oblivious why this living “seal” of the precious Holy Spirit written upon our souls is most important. God is said to be “love” and “light”, but the scriptures also tell us that “God is spirit” as well. And if one hopes to live in the presence the eternal and immortal God who dwells in unapproachable light, then you must be of Spirit as your God is of spirit, but not just any kind of spirit. You must be alive with God’s spirit. But this is horrible news for sinners, because the scriptures tell us that we are spiritual dead. This is why we must be “born of the spirit” as John 3:5 tells us, for until then we are “dead in trespasses and sins(Ephesians 2:1).” We are so spiritual dead in fact that all humanity was Gods “enemies”, “For you were once darkness(Ephesians 5:8)” itself.
Therefore I ask those who are true sons and daughters of God to…
Ephesians 2:11-13“Remember… that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
And for those who are unaware of the marvelous seal of the Holy Spirit in the heart, which overflows, in pleasurable joy in Godly-obedience, then I would have you to remember these words of old…
“Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:"God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. "Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, "so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; "for in Him we live and move and have our being…"Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising. "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man(Jesus Christ) whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead." - Acts 17:23-32
