I have written a book called, The Divine Decrees, and in this book I dive into the showing that what God originally intended first, in His decrees, is last in execution and what was the last comes first in order.

For example take that of a business man.  When this now president of the company first began his journey in the working world he did not start as president but at the bottom of the corporate ladder.  Although he started at the bottom of the corporate ladder yet this was not his original goal or intention; rather, being president was.  See, what he originally intended was accomplished last in order, while starting at the bottom, which was intended after his goal of president was chosen, was accomplished first in order.  Ecclesiastes 7:8, “The end of a thing is better than its beginning.”

And so God who is infinite in wisdom has His end goal as His original intention, but starts out with something different, and continues to take a series of steps until His original goal is accomplished.  This original goal is the public illuminary and supremacy of Jesus Christ, and that the pinnacle instrument to accomplish this is a public, redeemed bride married to His Son enthralled with eternal joy and praises of Him.

What this means is that Adam and Eve were not God’s original intention and design for man; rather, their creation was at the bottom of the public ladder or plan, if you would.  God’s wisdom planned and intended for Adam and Eve to fall in the Garden so that He might send His Son to die and redeem then, so that a public Jesus Christ might be the first born of the death and so that He might have the First place in everything, or Supremacy that is.

Although God started mankind in the Garden it was not His original goal, mankind being married to His Son through grace was the first intention for man.  NLT Ephesians 1:10, “And this is His plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ-- everything in heaven and on earth.  And what is the goal of this?  Christ’s public supremacy!  NAU Colossians 1:18, “He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything [i.e. preeminence, supremacy].”

God’s mercy is that He takes away our sins.  Therefore, let us read the force of verse 32 of Romans chapter 11 with that in mind to see more clearly the weight of what is being said.  God appointed all to disobedience so that He might take away their sins!  That is an incredible thing to say!  This is why Paul simply ends with praise to God’s wisdom and Supremacy after teaching on such incredible doctrines as this.

1 John 4:9,  In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.”  As said before, God’s wisdom concluded that the best possible way for us to enjoy God’s love was by us tangibly experiencing it through “mercy.”  God’s love to us is proven by mercy; this was God’s plan.  He conceived it, decreed it, and then made it happen.  God ordained the fall so that He could have mercy on us, which is the absolute and fullest measure of God displaying His love and assuring us of that love.  This was by God’s design, not by an accident, which God merely used.[1]

One of the reasons God has it this way is because it helps to teach us about Himself and His character and ways.  Take for example how someone might ask why would God take so long to implement the New Covenant of Christ’s blood; why did God give us the old covenant and law?  Galatians 3:24, “Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian and teacher [tutor] to lead us until Christ came.”

Why do we have teachers, go to school, and have tutors to help us?  We have teachers and tutors because the end to which we are striving to accomplish (best in business, first in the orchestra, or best singer(etc.)) is too difficult and big for us to grab right now and so we are helped until the point we are ready.  This is similar with the Old Covenant and the New, or as some call it Law & Gospel.  In other words, the New Covenant of Christ’s blood was so spectacular and big and complex with so many bright glories that mankind needed preparatory aid and help to prepare them for its arrival.

Being taught and going to school is not my first goal, but getting a high paid job at Apple is.  Accordingly, the tutor or Old Covenant of the law was not the first goal; rather, it was the New Covenant with a redeemed bride married to Christ.

It is important to note that the scripture is filled with this basic structure of the first idea introduced is the tutor, antitype and example and the conclusion is the actual or first intention.

Now, we will take a detour into establishing the importance of the metaphysical in light of God’s predestination and decrees.

Applying God’s Sovereignty to both His Decree and the Metaphysical:

Before we do this I wish to address a particular scriptural doctrine.  To make sure you and I are on the same page I will explain these terms a little more.[2]

"But are we really playing a part in it if it all boils down to God's sovereignty?"-

This question is irrational in that it fails to apply the concept of God’s sovereignty to the very thing it is asking about.  See, if it is God's sovereignty for me to be part of it then I do.  This question answers itself, thus, there is no point in answering it.  If it is by God’s sovereignty then by necessity I play a part in it.

Readers, do you see it?  The same Sovereign Will that desires for Johnny to be publicly healed is the same Sovereign Will that desires for me to publicly pray.  See, on the basis of God’s Sovereign Will my prayers play a part in this, because it is the same Sovereign Will that will’s my prayer to happen as it also will’s for the healing to happen.  The prayer is part of same Sovereign Will that wills the healing.  The same Sovereign Will that gives the healing its importance is the same Sovereignty that makes the prayer important.  Understand?

Readers, this is a classic case of not applying God’s sovereignty.  The questioner applies God’s Sovereignty to that aspect of God wanting (for example) a person being healed, but does not apply the same doctrine of Sovereignty over the prayer.

Accordingly, sovereign or not, yet, if you are involved in displaying Jesus’ public glory then you are part of the most meaningful thing in the entire universe.  For Christians this means, although my choices are not ultimately deceive over reality, yet because I am involved, in a relational manner, in giving Jesus public glory by enjoying His mercy and feasting on His loving delights then I am a playing a part in the most meaningful thing in metaphysical reality: The Father’s love for His Son and the Son for His Father.

Readers do you see it?  The questioner applies the importance of Jesus’ glory to be displayed in the public metaphysical for the healing, but denies it for the prayer, when both are made important by this same Sovereign will that established that the public glory of Jesus be accomplished by the healing and prayer.

"So do our prayers actually make a difference in our world?"

This question is also irrational if you ask it on the basis that God is actually sovereign.  If God is Sovereign over everything, then of course your prayers do make a difference because, by definition of the Doctrine of God’s Sovereignty, your prayers are part of God's sovereign will!  It does not mean your prayers themselves made the defining difference, but being part of God’s Sovereignty in the plan for a particular result, then in this light ,your prayer does make a difference, because the same sovereignty that established the public result—giving the result importance—also established for the public prayer, and thus by the same standard giving the prayer importance.  In fact by this we understand only in light of God’s sovereignty do prayers have any meaningfulness to them.

"Why would the Holy Spirit give us prayers to pray back to the Father if God in His sovereignty will fulfill them regardless?"

Again, this question is irrational and rather unanswerable.  Yet, I will help by saying this.  God being Sovereign, by definition, cannot do something "regardless" for that would be a contradiction.  It would imply God’s sovereign will is at odds within Himself.  See, if it is God's Sovereign delight for a saint to publicly and passionately pray what His Sovereign decree or will is, then it is impossible for Him to do this “regardless” or without the prayer when the pray is the very thing He sovereignly wants to happen: understand?

To make sure you and I are on the same page I will explain these terms a little more.

There is God’s perspective, which largely consists of seeing reality through God’s sovereignty orchestrating all things.  Then there is the human or the metaphysical perspective. This perspective sees God’s, but more from a limited time and space viewing.  I call it the human because this public existence was made with man to be the pinnacle creature to be able to see and comprehend God’s glory and then consummate this beholding in worship to Him in inexpressible joy.  This is not the angels’ perspective, because it is they that look at the human perspective to better see the glory of Christ displayed.

God the Father is “invisible,” for no man has seen His face, (John 1:18) nor will they ever, but only through Christ’s. Jesus Christ is the “outshining” (Heb.1:3) of the Father.  He makes the Godhead visible in the public, in brilliant illuminary.  Colossians 1:15, “He is the image of the invisible God”: He is more precisely said to be public image of God in the metaphysical creation.  Creation is candle is revealing God, but Christ is the Sun.

When God divinely reveals that He will do this and not do this; He will reward this, but will punish this that He does this from an infinite ocean of good pleasure.  See, God does not react to creation, for then God would not be immutable; rather, creation is God wisely, with good pleasure choosing to communicate Himself, for who He really is.  Creation is God’s Sovereign will to put in a public display how famous He is, as His Son is preeminence on center stage.

With this being said, when God said to Adam and Eve, “if you eat of the fruit you will die,” God has bound Himself to fulfill this or else be a liar and a fraud.  In fact, it is God’s pleasure to, if you would, bind Himself in this manner, so that as man sees how faithful God is to every last word He has spoken that man will see God’s fame displayed in His faithfulness and truth.   Since this public creation is founded on God’s sovereign “good pleasure” to be a display of how Famous He really is through His Son, then God does not desire to “merely” give vague ideas of His Moral Beauty or Holiness, rather, His sovereign Will is to publicly reveal details about His Divine Nature and then act faithfully in this public world to this revelation so that His glory is clearly seen and adored by all watching eyes.  See Exodus 32:11-14, Psalm 79:9; God appeals to this in first person in Isaiah 45:4; Isaiah 48:11, Ezekiel 37:16-33; also compare Psalm 25:11 to 2 Samuel 9:1-12; also 1 John 1:9 –God is “just” to forgive in keeping to the promises He made.[3]

The point I wish my readers to keep in mind is this: behind any one Revelation of God, in the smallest statue, command or reward regarding what He will do, is behind it the Infinite Sovereign Will and Pleasure of God that established for His Son to have creation as a gift with Jesus as the public image of God, with His Son having the central public Supremacy and Preeminence.  If there is just one failure all will be tarnished for God has revealed Himself as “Perfect.”  Also, it is not as though God Sovereignly choosing to reveal Himself in a public metaphysical creation was a decision from a third party: it was God’s free and sovereign choice!  It was not a third party who told God to bind Himself to a public revelation of Himself by having to be true to this, it was God’s Sovereign Will that chose this.  Because God’s goal is to reveal His glory in the metaphysical then His Sovereign pleasure is behind every public wise order, action and revealing to be taken as seriously as God’s Sovereign pleasure is behind God’s infinite sovereign pleasure to give His Son the Public Supremacy.  Therefore, to any creature who does not live and think with this same seriousness about the metaphysical or man’s perspective will find God’s infinite Sovereign metaphysical displeasure directed to their metaphysical bodies and souls.

God’s Perspective: A large part of this view is His Sovereignty.  God is sovereign and sees Himself being Sovereign over all things.  For example; Romans 3:5 tells us of an example when it is particularly bad to only view life as a mere man or woman.  Romans chapter 9:19 is another example of a person who is only seeing life through their eyes and not including God's perspective in it.   In Romans 3 God's perspective is that He is a Sovereign Judge and needs to pragmatically be and establish Himself as so over the world He made.  Romans 9 God's perspective is that He is Creator and so has endless rights to do what He wants over His creation: He has the right to destine Esau and Jacob before they had done any actions of bad or good.  In Romans 11 God views Himself as a master planner so that the vessels of mercy both in Israel and the Gentiles come into the faith and receive the greatest degrees of His love in Christ.   In Jonah 4 we see God teaching Jonah to stop and consider His viewpoint.  God told Moses in Exodus 34:7 His Glory or His Divine Nature is full of mercies and compassion.   Through Jonah's human perspective Israel did not like Nineveh(and maybe for some good reasons) and so he did not care them.  God told Jonah His perspective is that He is merciful and desires to use His Sovereignty to show mercy to Nineveh.  Jonah knew this and willfully tried to ignore God's viewpoint (4:2).  Of course, the only way to know God's viewpoint is by Him telling us through His Divine Revelation or Scripture.  Human speculation is of no use in this.

Metaphysical Perspective: Although God calls us to view life through His perspective He does not call us to stop viewing life as a human.  By human I am not referring to the sinful or stupid aspect of our humanity; nor am I saying the human perspective is capable of truth in and of itself, rather, what I am referring to is this.  God made us as physical beings, in a physical world, with eyes, ears (etc.) and in space and time so that we are suited to behold God's displayed glory in a public world. (To know more please see my Book: The Public Jesus Christ is now Perfect.)  Although God is the metaphysical cause of all things, even over our own thoughts and knowledge and although God must uphold our bodies and souls into being, yet, there is a distinct line which separates God from His creation.  We are not pantheist or pagans; we are not the religion of oneism.  There is Creator and creation.  The bible which tell us that God upholds our beings and moves our hearts without our prior permission, also tells us that our hearts are indeed our "own" hearts and our "own desires." In the ultimate sense as Creator God "owns" us, but because we experience our lives as our lives, there is a sense that our lives are also ours.  James 1:14, "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed."

What this ultimately means is that as we live our "own" lives we experience this rightly and properly as own body, own desires and own choices.  That is how it feels to us and rightly so because God sovereignly designed it that way.  We experience suffering and pleasure, we perceive beauty and vile so that we might evaluate and proclaim of the glory of object of God's love, His Son.  To minimize the human viewpoint is to minimize the glory of Jesus Christ, because the human viewpoint is God's greatest design for how the glory of Christ is seen and reflected or mirrored back in praises.  It is as we experience our desperate need for salvation in a world with consequences and with dangers that the glory of God's only Son coming in human flesh and dying in our place that God's glory in Christ is at its greatest display.  Jesus Christ, the infinite God, while in human flesh felt and experienced the human perspective so deeply that merely thinking about cross caused Him to sweet tears of blood!  Therefore, our perspective is a meaningful perspective because of its relation to the public glory of Jesus; it was designed by God to be so

          Consider putting the two together.

This is similar to God telling Joshua and the Israelites that He will cause and destine them to defeat their enemies.  Did Joshua say: God, because you predestined us to win it takes all the value and seriousness out of it?  No, of course he did not.  Instead, because Joshua "loved" and sincerely longed for a homeland (taking the metaphysical serious) God's predestination (taking the Divine perspective serious) made the victory sweeter and the fighting of his enemies more passionate.  Here Joshua consistently applied God’s sovereignty over the metaphysical and the Divine perspective.

Slowly getting back to topic I would like to sum this up.  The reason we took this detour was to establish the importance and value of the metaphysical in light that we started off with doctrines of God’s sovereign decrees and predestination.  See, in my experience when talking of God’s sovereignty people revert to 2nd graders and through irrational induction conclude the metaphysical is not that important! Seriously!  If we would only consistently apply God’s sovereignty over the metaphysical as we do His predestination all issues would be solved.[4]

What we learned is simple.  The source that gives God’s decrees and predestination their value and importance is God’s sovereign will.  Likewise, the source that gives the metaphysical and all that is in it, including God’s revealed commandments for man, its value and importance is the same Sovereign will.  The same sovereign will that predestined, giving the future its value, is the same sovereign will that established the metaphysical (including the metaphysical creation week, and all metaphysical antitypes in the O.T), giving it its value.  The value of any given thing in the metaphysical is only as great as God sovereignly predestined for it, and only strongly as He sovereignly made this thing relate and reflect to the centrality of Jesus Christ in the public metaphysical.

And so I encourage all to seek Christ, as this is God’s public command for us, and if you do you will see how valuable God has made you through Christ and His suffering on your behalf.  Take a leap and look how deep the rabbit hole goes.  You can remain standing upon the earth in the miry clay or by diving in you will find as you and your old man is buried with Christ that you will be resurrected with Him to dwell with Him, beholding in eternal joy the light of His public preeminence.

The Pattern is, Oh’ so Precise:

Let us transition back to some more examples of Old Testament antitypes and tutors of the original New Testament intentions.

Moses and the house:

NLT Hebrews 3:3-6, “But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a fine house deserves more praise than the house itself.  For every house has a builder, but God is the one who made everything. Moses was certainly faithful in God's house, but only as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.  But Christ, the faithful Son, was in charge of the entire household. And we are God's household, if we keep up our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.”

Moses and his building of the tabernacle (God’s House) with all the things in it and how Moses managed the tabernacle, “was an illustration of the truths,” regarding God’s spiritual temple and how Christ would build it and manage it.

An illustration is the act of clarifying and explaining.  Yet, not all illustrations are created equal: some are good and some are poor.   What makes a good or bad illustration depends on how closely the illustration patterns the actual and how simple it is so that the audience is able to grasp it mentally.

The point to remember about illustrations of the Old Testament is that they were created by God who has infinite, endless wisdom and so the illustrations are a perfect pattern to the actual.  In fact, unlike how we might commonly use illustrations in a passing sentence, Jesus fulfills and does many of the illustration, literally.

Take for example the O.T. Law.  Jesus gives His own obedience and love to the Father for His elect that started before time began, but in addiction He also acts out and does, on earth as a human, all the Law required and gives this to the Father to be imputed to all who He died for.[5]  The O.T. Law, although an illustration of what obedience to God is suppose to look like, Jesus publicly lives out this illustration.[6]

Back to Moses, imagine if we could not take the tabernacle, the things in it and the procedures associated with it literally and at face value?  It would mean we would not be able to relate these things closely to what is God’s house, the things there and how God runs His house.   But the reality is that because God does have a house and runs it a certain way; He therefore, with infinite wisdom patterned the tabernacle after it in a precise and intelligent way.

Take for example the procedure of the high priest.  God reversed engineered the original design of Jesus and what He was going to do to save man to be illustrated in a very precise manner in a high priest.  The pattern is precise, not the actual thing itself. Jesus died (pattern) just like the first sin offering goat; Jesus was not a goat (actual).  Understand?  By pattern I am talking about how a model or an original is used as an archetype; or how a plan is used to be followed in the making of material goods; or how a sales man will use a representative sample.  For reference read the entire book of Hebrews.

What I want to do is show how precise the pattern of the gospel and Christ is in scripture.

The way God implemented the pattern of the high Priest has everything to do with the gospel; the way God implemented the pattern of the metaphysical or creation has everything do with being patterned both after and for teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Even man and woman and marriage and how they image and why they are united has everything to do with being patterned after and also for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  And so, “Revelation 22 verse13 reads, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

When God is so often spoken as the last as well as the first, the end as well as the beginning, it is implied, that He is the first, effective cause and fountain, from where all things originate.  Therefore, God is the last and final cause for which they are made.  He is the final term to which they all tend in their ultimate issue.  This seems to be the most natural meaning of these expressions, and is confirmed by other parallel passages such as: Romans 11:36, “For of Him and through Him and to Him are all thing.”  Colossians 1:16, “By Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him” Hebrews 2:10, “It was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things.”  Lastly in Proverbs 16:4, it explicitly reads, “The LORD has made all for Himself.”[7]

Jesus’ death and resurrection being first in the order of God’s decrees means that the O.T. high priest was designed by God to be an illustration of what the original was, and as said before, God with infinite wisdom made the pattern to be a perfect match.  Jesus died in bloodshed (Heb.9:12) and so God ordered the sin offering goat in Lev. 16 to be killed in bloodshed.  Jesus was lead outside of the gates of Jerusalem (Heb. 13:13) having the sin of the peopled confessed on Him, even by the High Priest (John 11:49-51), and so God commanded that a second goat (escape goat, Lev.16) have the sins of the people imputed to it by the high priest in the O.T.  Jesus went to His Father in Heaven and gave to the Father is own blood as payment for sinners and the Father received it (Heb. 9:12), and so God ordered in the O.T. that the high priest intercede and give the blood of the sin offering goat to the mercy seat once a year.  Do you see how close the pattern is!

In fact, it is so close to the original by God’s wisdom that we are able to deduce valid inferences about the original.  Take for example that in the O.T. illustration of the Mosaic Law that the high priest had to repeat the Day of Atonement every year: killing the sin offering yet again, imputing the peoples sins yet again to the escape goat, and interceding and giving payment yet again.  Although this Mosaic Law is only a tutor and illustration, yet the pattern is so close that God shows us we can deduce valid inferences from it.

Hebrews 10:1-3 “For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.  For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.  But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.”

God teaches us two things here. One, because the Law is only a tutor or illustration and not the actual, then of course it will not accomplish the goal!  Secondly, which is our point of discussion is that because the illustration is so close the original we can deduce that since God’s goal was to actually save sinners completely from sin (Ezekiel 36:33) and give them a clean conscience before Him, then the actual sin offering and escape goat and payment of sin will be a onetime act, because a continual acting of these things is a continual reminder that sins are not forgiven.  The pattern is so close that we are able to deduce valid inference about the actual, and vice versa.

Jesus was in the grave for three days and came out as the redeemer world, and so God caused Jonah to be in the belly of the fish 3 days, coming out as the preacher of salvation to a wicked city (Matt.12:39-40).  Jesus was the infinite wisdom of God displayed in salvation (John 1:1, 1 Corin1:30): wisdom so great it brought God and man to dwell together in His house, and so God caused Solomon to be the wisest man on earth who brought God and man together in building of the Temple when God’s presence came down to dwell with men, and those who saw were all amazed (Kings 8:9-10, 66).

Jesus’ reign over all things in the public metaphysical is complete and all who are under His authority with joyful submission are filled with eternal joy, safety and the endless wealth of His love, and so God ordered Solomon to have a kingdom so great, and peaceful and filled with joyful servants that a Queen lost her breath at seeing its sight, saying: Blessed are you servants. (1 Kings 10:1-10)

The physical body of Jesus was of little value, for it was in the “likeness of sinful flesh,” (Rom.8:3) and so the thing which made Jesus’ body so valuable so that it was able to pay for so many sinners, rising His body’s value to the height of heaven was the Divinity of His soul, the free obedience given to His Father made by the infinity of His Holy Soul, and so God made it so that in the Temple of the O.T. that the sacrifice lay on the altar so that the altar rises the body up, or sanctifies it to be a sweet smell to the Father.  Matthew 23:19, "Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

Jesus’ life was sought by evil men, as they seek to net a life as a bird in a snare, as He accented the Mt. of Olives and also prayed at its foot in Gethsemane, near the brook of Kidron, and so God illustrated this in David who ran from his pursuers saying in Samuel 26:20, "the king of Israel has come out to seek a flea, as when one hunts a partridge in the mountains."

Jesus was to be cursed for the church in her place—wearing a crown of thorns and hanging on a tree; therefore, God to illustrate this said, "cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,” (Galatians 3:13) and likewise God said, “cursed is the ground for your sake… .thorns it shall bring forth for you.” Genesis 3:17-18.

Jesus was given the position of High Priest by the free, sovereign appointment of Yahweh and a position that was to be eternal and so God caused this to be illustrated when God choose Aaron when his staff budded and ordered it so that Melchizedek was a priest of God without beginning or end, so to speak (Heb. 7:3, 20-21, 9:4)

Although prophecy is not the same thing as an illustration, yet, it is important to see how specific what Jesus did and what happened to Him and how exact it was to the last dotting of the “i” and crossing of the “t.” Jesus was sold, not for 31 pieces of gold, but for 30 pieces of silver and so Matthew 27:9 reminds us that Judas sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver: “Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced.”

Jesus Christ, the original, was going to say in His office of Mediator, “the Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor,(Luke 4:18)” therefore, God caused it to be prophesied hundreds of years before in the exact expression.

Such examples could be multiplied for a long time, but the point I believe should be sufficiently evident by now: which is that the O.T. pattern is a precise copy of the original.

The 6 Day Creation Reversed engineered from the Gospel:

Imagine some moron saying: Jonah was in the belly of the Fish for 3 minutes or 3 millennium.  Imagine a fool saying: Eve did not come from Adam!  Ponder if some idiot said: Melchizedek does have a genealogy, or that Aaron’s staff did not actually bud.  Even worse, image a confused individual saying: the sin offering goat did not actually bleed or the escape goat on the Day of Atonement did not have the people’s sin confessed on it, or that the High Priest really did not intercede inside the Holy of Holies.

Remember in Hebrews 10:1-4 were we learned that the illustration of the O.T. (in this case, the sacrifices) are such a close pattern of the actual (Gospel) that one can deduce from the illustration what the gospel will be: in this cause the gospel will be a one-time act of forgiving sin so that the conscience of the elect will not be reminded of their sin, but completely free of sin’s guilt and shame, because continual sacrificing shows that God is not satisfied and needs more because He is still angry, yet God has promised complete forgiveness.

God has designed the O.T. illustrations to pattern the actual gospel so closely so that the writer of Hebrews could deduce truths like the above and so that our Pastors and fathers, and those who diligently seek the scripture would be equipped to better understand the Supremacy of Christ and His gospel.

Back to the foolish statements above, let us reverse engineer them and see what the gospel and scripture would teach if what they say is true.  Remember it is right to be this strict with the pattern of the O.T. illustrations as the scriptures and in Hebrews shows us.  Remember it is God’s infinite wisdom and Sovereign Will that makes these O.T. metaphysical illustrations of the original so perfect and so valuable: valuable, because of their metaphysical close connection of the metaphysical Supremacy and Preeminence of Jesus Christ!

Jesus said that the only sign His generation would see is that of Jonah.  Jonah 1:17, “Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.” Matthew 12:40 "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”  Matthew 12:39, “But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.”

If Jonah was only in the belly for 3 minutes, then it would mean the Messiah would only be in death for 3 minutes, and since Jesus was resurrected in 3 days, then it would mean by Jesus’ own standard that He failed the test and is not the Messiah. (This type of conclusion would be applicable for the rest: Jesus not meeting the O.T. condition to be the Messiah.)

Moreover, if Eve was not originally made from Adam so that their reunion is as close and unified as the rib going to the perfect place and fit, then it would mean that the union of the Church into Christ is not that close, and not that special, and not that perfect of a fit.  Genesis 2:22-24, “Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman….they shall become one flesh.” Ephesians 5:30, “For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

Furthermore, if Aaron’s staff did not bud, then it would mean the appointment of Jesus Christ as High Priest was not by God’s sovereign appointment but by man (Heb. 5:1-5).  If Melchizedek did have a genealogy then Melchizedek is not a superior priest to Aaron and likewise the new covenant would not be a superior covenant to the old.  This would also mean Jesus is not a superior priest to all others, and it would also mean Jesus’ Priest hood was not an eternal type, but a temporary type. Hebrews 7:3-24,[Melchizedek] without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually… .It is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life. For He testifies: "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek… .so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.”

If the sin offering goat did not bleed it would deduce God was not angry enough with sin to punish it with death and so the death of Jesus Christ’s bleeding and dyeing was not necessary and so in this light it would be child abuse.  It would also mean that without blood (which is life payment Lev. 17:14, Gen. 9:15) Jesus would not be able to acquire the type of currency to purchase the freedom of human life.  If the escape goat did not have the sins of the people confessed to it and chased out of camp, then it would mean the actual, Jesus, would not save man from their inward unclean, evil hearts, or that the elect would never be rid of their sinful nature.  If the high Priest did not intercede in the Holy of Holiness before God and His presence, then it would deduce that Jesus Christ would never take His blood and tell the Father to whose accounts His life-currency goes to: the devil, pigeons, grass hoppers, who?

I apologize for having to subject, you my readers, to this nonsense but it does serve a purpose.   It is the height of stupidity and to the undermining of the gospel of Jesus Christ to tamper with the illustrations of the O.T., for they being so closely patterned to the actual would have dire consequences to the scriptural meaning of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It is easy to see the contradiction when a person says they believe Jesus is the only way to God and salvation, but who also says they believe in relativism and pluralism.  Such a person is to be mocked, dismissed and corrected, and if they are part of the church would need a public repentance of their hypocrisy and error or else be excommunicated.  It is easy for most to see the hypocrisy and stupidity to say Jonah was only down for 3 minutes but then say Jesus was down for three days and still say this confirms Him as the Messiah, when it would disqualify Him.   It is easy to see that when one says that we cannot deduce form the O.T. illustrations what the actual is, would be moronic and unbiblical when Hebrews 10 does just that, let alone, Jesus and the disciples.

Many in my day and time have been pleasuring themselves in the filth of worldly epistemologies and wisdoms so much that it leads them to tampering with the O.T. antitype of the 6 day creation or 7 day week that was reversed engineered by God so closely after the pattern of the gospel that we are able to deduce what the gospel is by its pattern.  They are so engrossed with pleasuring their minds and are so in-love with this world and its storytelling of books, movies, music and its old wives tells of evolution they do not see the glaring stupidity and damming consequence it has on the gospel and Preeminence of Jesus that comes with tampering with the Scripture’s account of creation.

I could spend time defending the Genesis account in other ways, particularly with the Biblical hermeneutic of—the scripture interrupts itself—with verses like Exodus 20:11 and Jesus in Matthew 19:4 (if evolution was true God did not create man at the “beginning” and so Jesus was mistaken), but I am not.   Furthermore, in my book, The Undefeatable Worldview, I have dedicated it, among other things, to showing how knowledge is justified only by Divine Revelation and sovereignty or the Christian Worldview that is: as sovereignly as God gives breath to every man every moment so too is all knowledge given as sovereignly.  Also, science because its epistemology is observation and the senses, and because it uses induction and affirms the consequent (a controlled test does not save this from being irrational!) has no justification for knowledge let alone truth.  Many foolish Christians make the irrational leap of stupidity from seeing the usefulness of science in practical terms to conclude it is able to give truth.  This is an invalid inference.  Genesis 1:28 tells us that science (subdue) will indeed be a useful blessing in practical terms, but the Scripture also tells us that only it justifies knowledge gives man truth: the age of the universe is a truth.  To know more about this see this book; this is free at my website.

Hebrews 4:1, “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest,' " although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works"; 5 and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest." 6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today," after such a long time, as it has been said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts." 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.”

Without going into depth about the significance of the number 7 in the Bible, it is notable the work week is 7 days.  Again the O.T. antitypes are not hypothetical.  Seven days means seven days.  If the Queen of the south did not actually say to Solomon, “Blessed are your servants,” then it being an illustration to teach that all the elect will be Blessed in the Kingdom of Christ would be an unintelligible and so a worthless illustration.  If the numbers in the Bible are not true to their numbers then the number 7 could not intelligently convey Biblical significance or any intelligent thought, for 7 could as easily mean 4 or 89 or a chicken foot.  Among other things with changing Genesis is the issue of not consistently and correctly using the law of Identity and Contraction (which Jesus appealed to in Mark 12:37), which as in all causes leads to irrational confusion and skepticism.

To affirm contradictions is to affirm nothing, yet, the Word of God is something.  To assign no definite propositions to definitions ushers an abyss of skepticism and nonsense, yet, the Word of God is truth.

Thus, some might be so foolish to think that if we call the 6 day creation an illustration or an antitype that it would diminish the claim that 6 days are literally 6 days.  Yet, what my modern day free thinkers fail to do is, well, to think intelligently or rationally that is, for if the illustration and its pattern is not known strictly and perfectly then one loses the ability to intelligently convey propositions about the original.  It is precisely because the Bible makes the 6 day creation to be an illustration that it forces Genesis account to be strict, exact and with rigid details, for its pattern is to teach us about the gospel of Christ.  The less strictly we know about the illustration the less we can intelligently know of the original.

This is why creation is so detailed with every calculable work God did with every calculable day; this is why the Tabernacle is so detailed with all its items and how they were used in rigid strictness; this is why the Day of Atonement is spelled out with many specific, and this is why they are easily understand and comprehended so that we might know in great intelligence about the original: the gospel of Christ and His Preeminence.

The importance of our Hebrew passage is the it is in the same Book where it over and over uses the O.T. metaphysical antitype and illustration to interrupted and deduce what the Gospel really is and what Jesus actually did and what the effects of this are!

It brings tears in my heart to see seasoned so-called biblical preachers and teachers who use the N.T. and particularly Hebrews consistently to show how the O.T. illustrations pattern the gospel perfectly with the High Priest and (etc.) but because of their fornication with worldly thinking will deny this to chapter 4 of this same book with the same standard they use for the rest of it!  Fools!  Men make judgment easy for God.

Hebrews chapter 3 interrupts truths about the actual (Jesus and His House) with the antitype of Moses and the Tabernacle.  Chapter 4 interrupts truths about the actual (Gospel and its effects of eternal rest for believers who press in) with the O.T antitype of the 7 day creation weak.  Chapter 5 gives truths about the actual (Jesus being divinely appointed to Mediator) with the O.T. illustration of Aaron and his budding staff.  Chapter 6 interrupts truths about the actual (Jesus going to the presence of God for us, to bring us to Him) with the high priest going behind the veil, for the people. Chapter 7 gives truth about the actual (Jesus being a better, eternal Priest with better promises) with the O.T. illustration of Melchizedek.  Chapter 8 sums up truths about the actual (Jesus and the Covenant) with the O.T. illustration of the previous chapters.  Chapter 9 interrupts truths about the actual (Jesus’s death, resurrection, and Covenant) with the O.T. illustration of the Day of Atonement. Chapter 10 interrupts truths about the actual (the effect of Jesus’ one-time finished work on the conscience of believers) with the O.T. illustration of the repetitive sacrifices.  Chapter 11 gives truths about the present (what N.T. faith is to be) with the O.T. illustrations of O.T. saints faith.

One would have to resort to the worst sort of scriptural gymnastics and use the most powerful sorts of twisting of scripture to deny the 6 day Creation account, used in chapter 4, is not really 6 days when it and ALL the other O.T. illustration used in Hebrews are used to interrupt the gospel precisely because they were orchestrated by God’s Sovereign Will and Wisdom to be a perfect metaphysical pattern of the original decrees of God in order to explain them!  Let them try if they may.  Hebrews does not use Jesus’ acts to explain the gospel; rather, the scriptures in Hebrews tells us what to make of Jesus and the gospel from O.T. illustrations: it is in this context the 7 day creation week is mentioned!

Since God through the writer of Hebrews uses the Genesis account to deduce what the gospel is let us therefore deduce what the gospel would be if evolution was true.  In my experience most so-called Christians in this irrational camp will say man was made by God as a man, but only after God so-called evolved the universe for billions of years, (leaving aside the irrationality of this) we will work with it.

According to Hebrews, God worked for only 6 days and then entered into an eternal rest.  The spiritual work of pressing into the Kingdom is short, but the rest is eternal: this then is the lesson from Hebrews we learn.  Abraham’s life is a similar type of illustration: (6:15) “After he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” Again, if Abraham really did not exist or if his endurance really was not a hard spiritual struggle and the promise not sweet, then it would fail at being an intelligent illustration of N.T. believers in Christ: the same true with the 6th day creation and the day of eternal rest.

And so like God in creation and like Abraham’s life, man’s spiritual work is short (at most 120 years) but for them that trust in Christ their spiritual peace and promise is eternal!

If evolution (billions of years) is true it would deduce that man’s spiritual struggle is, in all practical terms, eternal!  Also, since within evolution it never arrives at perfection, but is always improving, it would mean that the man’s spiritual work to find peace with God will never be perfect but always striving to grasp perfect peace with God.  There would be no scriptural hope of true spiritual rest for the elect if evolution is true.

Some might be saying: Oshea, you are not suppose to deduce what the Gospel actually is so strictly by the actual account of creation.  Yet, this is exactly what Hebrews, Jesus and the N.T. letters do with the O.T. illustrations: interrupt the actual by them.

To those who wish to affirm evolution is true and still affirm a short spiritual struggle for the saint and an eternal rest through Christ’s suffering are no different than the fool who says: I affirm Jesus is the only way to salvation and to God, but I also affirm because the Bible teaches in the Trinity that it means a person may go to heaven by believing in Buddha or Hitler or a mole-rat, or that there are many paths to God.  This would be contradictory within the Biblical system of thinking: by affirming both it would be enough to disprove the Bible and the Christian God as false, for it denies the law-of-noncontradction, which even Jesus the Logos appeals to it Mark 12:37.

Likewise, to affirm evolution is not only to twist and distort the Bible’s revelation—like a bear slashing at it with its claw and foaming at its mouth in madness—it would cause the Bible to affirm two contradictory propositions of the gospel: with one, standing on the Bible’s own revealed system-of-thinking of interrupting the gospel by the O.T. anti-type, it would affirm a dreadfully long spiritual work and through Christ’s suffering although peace is greater it will never be perfect; yet, in other places it would affirm the opposite.  This alone would be enough to disprove the entire Christian revelation as false, for by the Bible’s own standard to be contradictive is to be false.  Those within the church who affirm such, or that is those who within the church who affirm the scriptures are false like the above should be boldly called to repentance and/or discipline or else be excommunicated.

Conclusion:

Among other things, we have learned in this essay one of the most basic and important Biblical hermeneutic: the scripture interrupts itself.  Sadly, for some this hermeneutic gets replaced with—science interrupts scripture—to the shame of them who partake of such mental passions and gluttony of the world.

Rejoice in the Wisdom of God!  How marvelously wise, logical and full of infinite understanding is our God?  He had original plans for His Son’s public metaphysical Preeminence through the praises of a redeemed church.   In great kindness God wisely schemed how to teach and prepare His Son’s bride for these wonderful things.  The Infinite Existence reversed engineered His original plan copied it perfectly with such stunning detail, and starting at the beginning with how He created the world in 6 days, to why a woman gave birth when her womb was so old, to why the tabernacle was erected and why a goat was chased out of a camp in the wilderness, He did so to perfectly illustrate the brightness of what His Son was going to accomplish and the effects that would follow.  God’s illustrations are not like man, who so often makes pathetic illustrations.  With the greatest attention to every detail and without missing the majesty of the original God’s illustrations are the displaying of infinite Wisdom that comes from a mind that is without limits or constraints.

          For Meditation,

Oh! What Wisdom there is in Christ! Wisdom displayed in the redemption of man in every facet and crevice.  1 Samuel 17:35, “I went out after [Lion & Bear] and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.” Jesus was the Lamb of God for the people who willingly placed himself in the mouth of at lion called the Devil, and although He was at His weakest, through suffering, Jesus not only overcame the devil, but triumphed over him in it, making a spectacle of the devil: in this Jesus humiliated the devil by wisdom, for the Christ overcame His strongest enemies while He was in His weakest..

By Redemption the scripture teaches us that Christ not only rescues us from our vile condition of sin and filth but also He brings us into a more glorious holy positive than where we were before so that those who used their tongues for such stupidly and used them to set forest on fire, will through God’s Wisdom, speak truth and set hearts on fire for the love of Christ.  Isaiah 29:24, “These also who erred in spirit will come to understanding, And those who complained will learn doctrine."  Indeed, prostitutes who used their lips to kiss all sorts of things and used for such evil will by the redemption of Christ’s wisdom be the very thing used in His Kingdom.  Luke 7:45, “This woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in.”

Oh such Wisdom displayed in Christ that overcame the weakness of the law with the weakness of flesh wrapping His Son Jesus Christ who condemned sin in His flesh!  Oh such wisdom that overcame man’s distance to Himself with the nearness of a Man who was humbled, acquainted with grief and sorrows like us!  Such wisdom that would not allow there to be mercy and forgiveness for man without vindicating the Holiness of Father: which cost Jesus His life and being abandoned: abandoned by all, by this disciples, by His countrymen and even by His own Father.  Such wisdom that through His abandonment sinners are not forgotten but made the children of God!  Such wisdom that blinded the natural olive branches so the by its roots many wild branches of the gentiles are grafted in so that all may behold and ponder both the kindness and severity of God through Christ!  Such wisdom displayed in causing the whole world to become liars through one man’s sin so that in their mouths being shut God would be justified in His Judgments, so that through His judgment of His Son He might judge many as becoming the righteousness of God through Him!  Oh such wisdom that caused the world and Israel to be lost in disobedience and blindness so that He might send His Son to die in suffering and display the Mercy and Justice of the Infinite Existence.  Oh such wisdom that from the same lump molded some of mankind for destruction and some for mercy so that they through this perspective might rebound in eternal praised and thanksgiving to the Father through Christ!  Oh such wisdom that reversed engineered the gospel into the why the entire metaphysical was made in 6 days and why God completely rested on the 7th!

Wisdom, Endless Wisdom!  For the thirsty, there is a fountain that never runs dry.  For the hungry there is bread that satisfies. For the repentant, there are nail scarred hands to kiss.  For the weak, there are strong hands ready to reach down and hold.  For those surrounded by enemies, there is a Samson who with one mighty push destroys them all in a moment.  For the tormented soul like Lot, there is One who knows how to deliver.  For those seeking honor, glory and immortality, there is a place to find it.  For those desperate for wisdom, there is one greater Solomon who is ready to both share and even be their wisdom.  For those who need a father, there is a Father ready to adopt.  For those in need of a brother, there is one ready even to be closer than a brother.  For those lost in darkness, there is a light shining.  For those beaten down by the sun, there is a cloud gladly casting a shade.  For those who shiver in the night, there is a fire ready to share its heat.  For those tossed in the sea, there is a voice able to calm.  For those tormented and thrown on the ground by the devil, there is one who he trembles before.  For the reed that is bruised, there is One willing to be gentle.  For the sick, there is a physician with healing in His hands.  For he who is lost there is a way; for he who is confused there is a truth; for he who is dead there is a life!   For the one drowning and struggling in their blood, there is One who is able to say Live!  The one who cries, there is a finger able to wipe away their tears and bottle them up.  For the humbled and cast down, there is a mighty hand able to rise up.  Those in need of healing, in Gilead awaits a healing balm.  For the poor and despised, there is One who owns a thousand cattle on a thousand hills.  For the totally rejected, there is an infinitely beautify Spouse who is ready to walk the aisle.  For the homeless, there is carpenter who is able to build mansions.  For the one without clothes, there is One ready to give away His robe of righteousness.  For the wild branch, there is a natural vine willing to be grafted. Those with nowhere to call home, there is a promise land and a city called Zion.  For the one who is spiritually tried, there is God who COMPETELY rested from HIS WORK on the 7th day.

And all these are summed up in the glorious Person of Jesus Christ!  See, greatness has a public name.  Mercy has a name, love has name, beauty has a name, salvation has a name, strength has a name –Jesus Christ the Lord!

Still, for the guilty there is a judge.  For he who runs, the One who pursues is faster.  For the one stealing in secret, there is a One who sees in secret.  For the one ready to sacrifice to idols, there is also One ready to sacrifice them in the open field before the moon.  For the one who sins in another’s face, there is One ready to repay to the face.  For the one who sins in secret, there is One who sets traps in secret.  To the one who builds a house out of blood and deceit, there is carpenter who has the hammer of justice in His right hand and Thor’s mighty hammer in the left.  For the prideful Pharaoh, there is an ocean ready to swallow up.  For the arrogant king, there are worms ready to eat the flesh.  For the one who lies, there are men waiting at the door to carry off their dead body.  For wicked armies, there is a David ready to subdue.  For the harlot, there is a fire ready to give smoke for the praises of men and angles.  For he who has a lose hand for evil, there are chains ready to bind.  For the tongue that sets forests on fire, there is a fire ready to set them ablaze.  For those who eat and could not be satisfied, there is an unquenchable darkness ready to devour them.  For those who accused others, there is a Devil ready to accuse them one great day.  For the coward there is a bold One ready to give strong judgment.  For the one who does not have, there is One ready to take away what little he did.  For those ready to proclaim they see, there is One ready to blind.  For those who gave other people nightmares, there is One ready be become theirs.  For those stuffed with worldly pleasure and wine, there is One ready to tread the winepress in the fierceness of His wrath.   For those who never rested in Christ from their Spiritual work for reaching God there is One who has Rested who will grant their wish leaving them to strive for eternity to have the poor beggar Lazarus to only but dip one little drop of water on their tongues.

Vengeance has a name, dread has a name, terror has a name, wrath has a name – and His name is Jesus Christ!

But Jesus Christ was a High Priest for many.  Therefore, for those who are under God’s wrath, there is One who was also under God’s wrath.   For those needing God’s wrath to be removed, there is One who was a propitiation so that they may be forgiven.  For those who are dirty, there is One who was endlessly fifthly with their sin.  For those looking to be cleaned, there is One who was an expiation so that they may be clean.  For those needing the vengeance of God to pass over them, there stands one among them as a Passover Lamb.  For those under the curse, there is One who has been crushed under its power for them. For those needing God to be near, there is a baby laying in a manger as one of them.  For those under the fear of death, there is One who was victorious over it.  For those weighted down with the shackles of sin, there is One ready to trade them for the bonds of peace and grace.  For those who are dead in their sins, there is a resurrection of life.  For sinners who are dry bones in a dark valley, there is One who is the light of life.  For those who entered into a covenant sin, there is a Mediator who has entered into the blood of the everlasting covenant.  To those who sacrificed to idols, there was One who was sacrificed for the people.  To those who need to reach God, there is One who has entered behind the veil and is ready to intercede for them.  For the guilty who deserve the ax of God, there is One who has already endured the Sword of God.  For those who recognize the law was against them, there is One who has nailed it to a cross.  For those who have painfully tried climbing staircase (of works) to heaven, there is One who has climbed it for them.  Even for the leper who at first resisted salvations offer, there is still healing in the banks of Jordan.  To those who seek the right to stand in God’s presences, there is One who is willing to clothe them in His righteousness so that they shine as stars in the heavens!

          For Rebuke,

It is precious and magnificent to know that all this great wisdom is given to His saints to drink in and enjoy freely through the reservoir of His Scriptures.  God has not abandoned His children.  The scriptures are written by God!  In His Sovereignty He caused and wrote out History itself: in His Sovereignty God planned and created the human authors who He made to pen the scriptures, and wrote out the man as sovereignly as a man perceives himself writing out a story on paper: in His Sovereignty God wrote out the Scripture as His self-disclosed biography about how Famous He is through the metaphysical public outshining of His Son Jesus Christ in the gospel!

How terrible will God’s displeasure be on them who do not behold His Son as the Father as revealed His precious Son to be!  What shame they bring on themselves who trade the Wisdom of God displayed in Christ through the gospel and this through creations history for the filth of worldly wisdom, when its best wisdom is weaker than God’s weakest.  For those who in this life traded the wisdom of God displayed—in all He does as it is centrally seen in Christ crucified—for the wisdom of this world will find God’s wisdom displayed in darkness, chains and a fire that cannot be quenched.  God is on a love crusade for Himself to display His wisdom through His Son.  All will see The Infinite Existence’s wisdom one way or another.

For Encouragement,

Repent in the ashes of your sinfulness and like a beggar who has nothing to offer God except that your sin qualifies for mercy, plead with God for mercy.  Ask for eyes that love Jesus as He has been revealed in the wisdom in the scriptures.  Ask in confidence knowing God’s “Will” is for your “sanctification.” All such prayers from His humble will be answered for such prayers are already His Will. (1 Thess. 4:3)

For those that have been steadily rejecting the world’s wisdom for the wisdom of God displayed in His Word in Christ I would encourage you to keep beholding and enjoying: for those that thirst for righteousness, they will be filled.   There is no telling the pathways of great filling they will have who seek greatly for God’s righteousness displayed in Wisdom of Logos.  Do not stop Beholding!  Look!  There stands among you one who is Holy, undefiled and meek, appearing as a Lamb who was Slain!

[1] Ephesians 2:6-7, “[God] raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, and that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”   God desired and designed in His love, before the dawn of time to show us the “exceeding riches of His grace.”  This verse also tells us how this is done:In Christ.”  God knew before He created us (even before He ordained or permitted the fall of man) that, if He was going to create children to love as much as He wanted to, that He must uniquely unite them in His Son.  Evidently, this is why God decreed the fall of our first parents, so that as all mankind was lost in disobedience, God could uniquely unite them in His Son through His death (we die with Him) and resurrection (we are raised in new life, in Him, part of His body).

Christ is the brightness of and very outshining of God’s Glory.  Hebrews 1:3: “[Christ is] the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person.  God loves a person through the blood covering of Jesus Christ whom the Father infinitely loves.  The Father will never look at you un-lovingly because Christ His Son is the exact shining forth of His own Glory.  God the Father loves His Glory above all things and so will always love those who come to Him through the blood of His Son whom He perfectly loves.  To reject at any time those who come to Him sincerely through His Son, whom the Father loves, as Christ is His own Glory, is as much possible as God rejecting Himself.   The fountain of all God’s love and enjoyment streams from the love and pleasure He has in Himself and particularly in the person of His Son Jesus Christ.  Adam and Eve, although greatly loved by God, were not united and grafted into Jesus Christ.  Therefore, the intimate closeness and love, which God could share with Adam and Eve before the coming of Christ, was not as great as we who are now united in Christ’s body.  This means Adam and Eve at their time in History, before the Fall, were not able to receive the “exceeding riches of His Grace.”  The reason is that they had not been raised up and united into Jesus Christ’s body.

Therefore, if God did not preplan the sin of Adam and the whole world, then God in this light never “planned” to give humans the glory and happiness of being made one with Him.  In other words, if God did not preplan to give us His righteousness from the very beginning, then God did not love us as deeply as he could have.  It would demonstrate God only loved us and gave us the righteousness of Christ because of an accident and not because God loved us so deeply that He planned from the very beginning to give us these wonderful things.  To say that God’s love was an accident and that God only used or permitted Adam’s sin, is blaspheme for it both diminishes God’s wisdom and His love He has toward the church.  God’s wisdom and love is easily seen because He planned from the beginning to give us the unspeakable gift of being brought so near, in the loving communion of the Trinity that we will be made one with God.  This gift of God’s righteousness to His church, through Christ, is no mere accident but was decreed by the Almighty Father in His infinite wisdom and love, even before the world began. “Love never fails!”

[5] NIV Matthew 5:17, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

[6] He does more than this because His willing obedience to be a Redeemer is purely a gift to the Father not required of the Law, which is given to the Father before time, on earth and even today as He still intercedes for those He died for.
