Is Government a good Savior? PDF Print E-mail

After this years election I feel compelled to write about it in order  to scrutinize it against the word of God.  One part of me does not wish to write this article update and if it was not for the more powerful urging of the Spirit of God to feed His sheep I probably would not.  The reason for my apprehension arises from deep-seated grief as I watch my fellow countrymen sell their souls for a bowl of soup, being ignorant of the biblical truth and seeking a savior in a man and not a real God, Jesus Christ

Segment 1: The religion of Secularism

Romans 1:23, "Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.  Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man -- and birds and four-footed animals and creeping thing."

The biblical worldview, which is the only worldview that is able to know fact or truth, has much to say about pagan religions such as secularism.  I will not discuss here how basically every worldview is not able to prove anything, because I have done so elsewhere.[1]  Therefore, when I quote the bible here, this argument cannot be disproved by any other worldview or thought, and because the bible is necessarily true, this particular doctrine is truth for the whole world.

God tells us through the book of Romans that the definition of paganism is the worship of any created thing whether it be the moon, a lion, a stature or man himself.  My modern-day foolish free thinkers fail to see that the seeking of a savoir in man is as foolishly pagan as ancient man seeking a savior in the sun or a bird, yet it is!

Our modern text books may illogically assume the definition of pagan religion does not include secularism as it seeks a savior in man, yet the fact remains it is.  Indeed, it is a very old brand of pagan religion.

I hope you have recognized that I am using the word "worship" and the phrase "seeking a savior" interchangeably.  Worship and seeking a savior is in essence the same thing.  This is why "seeking a savior" in a man or a government which is made up of mankind, is a pagan worshiping of man

The Hebrew word of "worship" means to bow down out of need, fear, love and hope to something or someone.  The act of humbling asking for grave help from someone is an act of worship by giving glory to that person as a great Savior Giver.  In this act you might not be physically bowing down, but you are relationally by seeking their help.

It is easy to look back a thousand years and see the idols of worship from ancient pagan religions, while it is difficult to see our idols of worship.  Yet, if you would drop an ancient pagan man here in our culture today he would see our sport centers and say this is our temples and religious rituals.  Furthermore, upon seeing a living room and all the chairs pointed at the T.V. he would bow to it seeing that we worship it with him.

Psalm 50:15, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.In God's own words when you call upon Him for help you are in essence worshiping Him giving Him, who is the Grand Giver great honor, for in this act you are showcasing Him as an all Powerful Savior and you the helpless subject.  Furthermore, consider Acts 17:24-30, "God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.  He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him... Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent."  Here mankind is to seek and reach for God to be their Savior.  Yes, He will save all who come to Him through the free grace given in His Divine Son, Jesus Christ, who died as a substitute for mans sin on the cross.

See, when man seeks a savior for himself in anything other than God it is biblically tagged as pagan religion or idol worship.   Furthermore, this type of worship is actually demon worship (I Corinthians 10:14-22).  How few realize that when they seek a savior in man, a government or whatever it is actually turns into demon worship!

I am amazed at the hordes of thoughtless people who believe that secularism is the subtraction of all religion, because it certainly is not.  Secularism is the subtraction of all religions expect is own, which is the religion of seeking a savior in mankind.   I do not deny that from a humanistic secular worldview looking at these things would mean secularism is subtraction of all religion, but the fact still remains that the secular worldview cannot know truth or fact, and therefore, cannot prove its own definition concerning itself.  In actuality to deny the biblical worldview secularism must borrow truth from the bible to even deny it.  By this secularism makes itself to be false and therefore its own definition of secularism false. [2] The bible being self-justified therefore stands, as the only source that can prove its definition of secularism as the universal true definition for all man.  This definition states that secularisms is the religion of seeking a savior in mankind (or government), which is no less idiotic than seeking a savior in a bird or a gold statue of a bull.  Openly the bible declares: "in mortal man there is no salvation."[3]

Segment 2: All Governments are Founded on Theology

All governments are based from a theology whether they like to admit to it or not.  This is something few give the impression of grasping.

            (A) NIV Romans 13:1-4, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer."

This passage is the most direct passage in the bible explaining what Government is, its origin and why it exists.  This passage tells us the reason why the bible supports a conservative outlook on government practices, here in America.  Here in this passage government is God's agent to punish wrongdoing, and that's it!  Government was created only to protect its citizens from both inside evil and outside evil so that they may live in peace to grow their families and societies.  This is what true conservatism is, which is nothing more obeying God's word.  The main difference between liberalism and conservatism is that liberalism goes beyond what the bible says government is suppose to do.  I will deal with the practical manifestations of this in just a moment, but now I will finish up where other theologies come from.

            (B) Romans 3:12, "All (mankind has) turned aside; there is none who does good, no, not one."

Why is America's government so different from all the rest?  The answer to this question lies with the theology to which the founders of this country used to form it with.  America was formed with the biblical understanding that mankind is inherently evil and therefore, makes illogical and evil choices.  The bible reveals that mankind rebelled against God and therefore, all became infected with darkness in their mind and corrosion in their hearts.[4]  This is why America was formed with the 3 branches of government, the President, Congress and Judges.  The idea was if one of these branches became evil, by the people running them, then the other branches being ran by better men could keep the evil from being spread too much. Then by election the people could remove the evil before it spread to far.  Our government is founded on theology that men are born with evil inclinations in them.  Furthermore, to keep this evil from spreading too much in government there was created 3 branches of checks and balances.

Also because of this same reality of men born with evil inclinations our founding fathers put in place that  people vote for a president and congress every 2 - 4 years.  This was done to keep evil people from ruining the nation.  The common name given to this type of government is called a democratic or republic.

The opposite of this type of government is called communism or socialism, which is merely a softer version of communism, for they both are based from the same worldview or religion of evolutionary secularism.  It is opposite in its operation because it is founded upon an "opposite theology." This stupid theology says that mankind is inherently born good and then is corrupted by society or life.  This does not come from the biblical worldview and therefore, cannot be proven to be true.  Yet, it comes to no surprise that under this evil and false theology and under its rule in the 20th century that more people were murdered and slaughtered by it than the past 10 centuries combined.  Between Hitler, Communist Stalin, China and Cambodia well over One Hundred and Twenty MILLION people were slaughtered in the name of this false secular religion.[5]

For example: the Cambodia government once it adopted a secular communistic theology attempted to kill all the adults within its boarders.  Millions of humans were slaughtered like fifthly pigs, for that is how the government viewed them!  They wrongly thought that humans were born good and that society made them evil.  Therefore, they took this secular doctrine and put it into practice, by trying to slaughter all the adults and then attempt to start with all kids, whom the government blindly believed had not been tainted by society.

            (C) I say this to merely indicate how all governments are based from a moral code and theology from a religion somewhere.  Its not a mater of saying no religion will influence, for this is impossible knowing that secularism itself is a worshiping of man, seeking a savior in him.  What it boils down to is a matter of what religion and its moral code and doctrine will your government be founded on!  There is no such thing as no religion.  Take for example that the basic governmental idea that a society deserves peace from other nations attacking it, is at its root a moral issue!  Where does the morality come from, form which religion?  At the end of the day a government must determine which religion, with is morality, will they be founded on and function upon.

Like all religions secularism, or the worship of man, has its own set of moral laws.  Such as survival of the fittest, which Hitler took to its most logical and practical meaning for government.  Most do not understand that Hitler actually obeyed the religion of secularism like a good little practitioner.  Under secularism you cannot condemn Hitler guilty, because what he did was actually part of the moral code of evolutionary secularism.  Furthermore, because man is the center or god of secularism he could literally make up any moral law to be obeyed that he or the society wishes.  What this translates for government signifies that whatever the society desires to be a moral code it becomes one, even it if means killing One hundred and twenty million people, or that if you eat too much fried chicken you will be killed, because gluttony is immoral. [6]

Segment 3: Secularism as a Government

With all that has been said what does a secular government look like in real life, particularly here in America and the western hemisphere?

First, remember what we learned when the bible affirms (in Romans 13) that the purpose of government is to punish people who actually do bad, evil or wrong things.  Secondly, remember we learned this is what conservatism basically is for America.  The definition for conservatism is to lean or adhere to traditional rules or laws.  In the case of America where much correct theology of the bible was used to form its rules, being conservative or adhering to those traditional rules is actually adhering to the bible itself.  This is not to say that all of American politics were based on a right biblical theology, only that some of the major ones were.  Some of these would include such things as (1) humans have inalienable rights because they were created by God, (2) man is born with an bent for evil illogical things, (3) government is to punish wrong doing not positively force people to be moral.

Therefore, to be liberal about these laws so "as to move away" from these traditional laws and theologies would be to move away from the bible itself (those which are from the bible).

The particular issue I wish to focus on is one concerning the conservative, or in this case the biblical regulation that government is only meant to enforce its power to punish wrongdoing.  So that it would be sin against God and defying His word if a government goes out its way to enforce its power to make its subjects be moral.

This is why the Catholic Church was so hated a few hundred years ago, because it being in control of government forced people to be moral (etc.).  This is why the pilgrims set sail to America those many years ago.  They wanted to escape a government forcing people to be moral according to what it thought is moral.  This is why people wanted a "partial" separation of church and stated so that the church of any religion could not force people to be moral.  That is not role of government!  This is the role of religion not government!  The church of Jesus Christ has the responsibly to lead people to be moral under true faith in His Glorious Name in the gospel, not the government.

What does this mean for today?  If the American government taxes its people and tells the reason they are doing this is to take it and give it to the poor or poorer people (a.k.a. socialism) this would be an example of government forcing it subjects to be moral.  It would be the same if America forces its subject to shower and to ware deodorant every day to achieve the moral of loving your neighbors by practicing good hygiene.  It is the same type of evil when the ancient Catholic State forced people to be a member of the Catholic Church.  In all these cases the government lays a standard for what is moral and then positively makes the people to walk in this morality.

The irony is that the pilgrims sailed to America to escape religion being forced on them and of religious persecution, yet now in 2008 we would vote a President into office who vows to enforce this same combining of church and state on us again (a weak form of socialism).  What our founders died and bleed to be freed from we vote irrationally to be placed on us again, like a slave or prisoner once being freed asking to be in bondage again or a dog returning to its vomit!

Earlier I said that: "The main difference between liberalism and conservatism is that liberalism goes beyond what the bible says government is suppose to do."  Liberalism in the name of secularism, while using the power of combining Church and State forces morals (morals of secularism) on its subjects.  This is how it goes beyond the biblical scope of the role of government.

This brings me to my next point, which is that the enforcing or causing citizens to be moral is what we call the combining of Church and State.  If a government is to obey the leading of the bible then they do not have the right to positively force its citizens to be moral or to combine every moral code of a religion with government and make people do them.  Forcing people to be good givers to the poor is the combination of church and state!

What government is to do according to the bible is punish people who break the basic moral code, which is known, both in the bible and even in nature itself.  This is why much of America's basic moral code of law breaking comes from the Ten Commandments, (such murder, stealing, lying), for they are universal in scope and in nature itself.  But to go beyond this and then force people to be positively moral is a whole aspect that biblically does not belong to government but with the church.

The process is like this.  (1) In the name secularism, seeking a savior in man or the government[7] who is made up of man, (2) a government adopts socialism or communism for its practical government function, so that in the combination of the secular church and government man can ensure to save itself by forcing people to be moral.

Some people at this point will say: but there are real people with will real need for help and we must help them.[8]  This is why the secular worldview, which sees no God to help, but only man, takes upon himself to force the people to be morally good.  There is no one else who cares or can help in the secular mind's eye.  This is where you get communism and its lesser form of socialism, which is the government forcing man to give (or whatever the morality may be) in the name of the religion of secularism.[9]  Yet, what this irrational and false worldview fails to see is that a real God, Jesus Christ, does care and will help the poor through His church.  Therefore, the government has no need to force a secular church morality onto its citizens.

Segment 4: Seeking a Savior

            (A) During this past election my heart, although filled with many emotions concerning it, did have one that pressed it the most, which centered on how many people looked to mankind as a savior.  In this they were stealing the glory that only belongs to my Lord Jesus Christ and giving it to a mortal man.  My heart was saddened to see on both sides of the aisle, the obvious manifestation of idol worshiping centered on man.  For some the defeat of their man brought unwarranted depression and loss of hope.  I will get into this more later, but this showed that they were sinfully hoping in a man, which God forbids!  For others, whom Jesus Christ was not their Savior, or at least only a part savior to them, they sought their savior or remaining savior in a man.  The even shouted the new secular religious worship song: Yes we can, Yes we can, for in man they hoped.  Again, Jesus Christ forbids this.  Therefore, my heart yearns for all to look to Jesus Christ as their full Savior and look to NO other to hope in.  Because of mans sin all things in this physical universe have been effect by is corrosion and brokenness.  My dear friends brokenness and corrosion cannot fix anything!

2 Peter 1:1 "Our God and Savior Jesus Christ...[for]... His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him."

This verse showcase to the world that Jesus Christ is a "Savior" pertaining to "all things" in our "life."  This is a huge point the whole world needs to understand.  Jesus Christ is not merely a Savior of our sins and from the appropriate judgment of God, but is a complete Savior.  Yes, much of Jesus Christ's Glory and Honor and Splendor arises from the fact He is a total and all-inclusive Savior for our entire life, not just a part of it.[10]

The point to be understood here is this: you are not obeying God, in seeking the Lord Jesus Christ to be your Savior if you are not willing to have Jesus to be your Savior in everything! At the end of your life if Jesus Christ is not your complete Savior then He was never your Savior of anything to begin with, particularly your sins.  I would be as if I asked a woman to save me by marrying me, yet I said I only want her for you sex but wish so seek my need for friendship elsewhere.  Being saved by our Lord is like a marriage, which is why the bible speaks of our union with Jesus Christ as such[11], for He is our Savior-Husband who gladly and powerfully meets all our needs for everything!

            (1) Our desperate need for the forgiveness of sins, before the sight of God and men, Jesus Christ is our full Savior.  Matthew 1:21, "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."  (2) The world, mankind, government, Hollywood, computers, sex, we do not need to save us from our need for entertainment and happiness, because Jesus is our full Savior of this.  Psalm 16:11, "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."  1 Peter 1:8,  "Though now you do not see [Christ], yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory."  John 15:11, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."  (3) We do not need man, money, fame, job, government or anything else save us from our anxious need of the basic provisions of life, because Jesus Christ is a full Savior to us in these things.  Matthew 6:25,32-33, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on.  For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness [Jesus], and all these things shall be added to you."

I say all of this to point out that if you seek a Savior for anything in your life other than our God Jesus Christ, then you greatly sin against Him by diminishing the glory and honor of His Saving POWER!  For we have already gone over Psalm 50:15, where God says, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."   We give Him glory and honor by calling and therefore, depending on Him to save us for anything in our life.  He gets the glory of being our Savior and we get the pleasure of receiving His help.  See, the problem comes when we look to relationships, Hollywood, government or anything to truly be our Savior, for in this act we are giving away glory and honor, which alone belongs to God, to someone or something else.  What ends up happening is that a mere mortal, or thing or government is glorified as a false function savior and not the only true Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord.

          (B) During this last election I heard a fellow citizen say something to this effect: I look to government to protect and help me for government is suppose to help me!  There is a major problem with this because according to the biblical worldview the government is not suppose to help you!  It is to punish criminal activity and in this it protects you and your family.  Government has no mandate from God to be a savior and positively go out its way and help anybody.  The main reason for this is that God does not want you looking to government to be your Savior.

There is a difference between government inspiring, promoting and encouraging help, compared to actually taking on the role of, Jesus the savior, and helping its citizens.  Some might say what about if Jesus wills to help you trough the government.  I replay there is a difference between relying or hoping in Jesus as a Savior and government.  It is only in the Lord Jesus do you rely on for help.  And if the chips fall after you have sought Jesus Christ sincerely, worked your hardest, your family, friends or church is not able to help and government is willing to help the truly helpless, then so be it.  But this is different than being lazy and wimpish and demanding government to be your savior, because Jesus Christ your real Savior said to you that you are worse than an unbeliever if you do not provide for your family, so that you abounded Him to take for yourself a less kingly savior in man who will not command you to obey Him so much.

I wonder how many professing Christians says things about their government like the above, that government is suppose to help them.  I dare say these same people do Not realize that if they place any hope in this view, that they are actually worshiping man!  The bible says there is no help in man, or government, which is made up of man.  What you hope in is what you worship.  I know this is hard to ingest for my modern-day foolish free thinkers, who have been in indoctrinated with secular religion.  But hope is only to be given to God, our Lord Jesus Christ.  Giving up your hope, in any degree, to any other is false worship and sin!

Biblically this is one of the easiest ways to find out who is your God or Savior: whether it is Jesus Christ, man, government, sex, money, fishing, love novels or whatever it is.  What you hope in or what you invest your hope in, with your time, emotions, thoughts, and possessions is your god.  By this you are offering yourself as a living sacrifice, no matter who or what it is.  If you place the hope of your thoughts and emotions into anything other than God you are an idolater.

          (C) There is a serious lesson to learn which the bible teaches us.  What you invest your soul, hope, time, money, and life in - if it is taken from you then you will surly lose your happiness and peace.  You might as well try grasping the wind than to find peace and fulfillment of hope in anything but the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 20:22-24, "And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, "except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.  "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

Paul knew he would face chains, trials and hardships in every city to which he was going to.  How did the apostle deal with this?  Paul first states this does not move him, or in other words, it does not bother or concern him in the least!  How can that be possible?  Next let us consider his goal: that I may finish my race with joy.  Paul's goal, as well should be the goal of every Christian, is to finish the race of sincere faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ, to testify of His Glory therein.  The question is how did Paul go about this?

He did this by not counting his life or this world, including all its shouts of hope, pleasure and peace as nothing!  Example if living in our day time, if he could not: watch TV, surf the internet, going bowling, eat out, go to the movies, go to football games, go window shopping, depend on the government for any help that he was more than filled with joy, because all of the above was as "nothing" to him!  And to lose something that was nothing means you did not lose anything, because nothing by the way is nothing!

Yet it is noticeable to me from both sides of the court, whether democrat or republican, that people place hope in government.  And as Christians you are not to place hope in anyone but Jesus Christ, otherwise its sin.  I know this sin is rampant from of the emotional response I see form each side.  People have sinfully invested their thoughts, hopes and emotions into mere finite, broken, mortal things.  Because people have hoped in man, or government made up of man, these persons, unlike Paul, are filled with disappointment and discontentment, for they hoped in worthless things that have no power to deeply save or change.  Therefore, obey the word of God and do not do it.

I do not find the confession from Obama that he is a Christian to have any weight to it.[12]  This means he is a broken man.  Yet the world now looks to a broken man to fix a broken government?  Even if he was truly saved, brokenness still resides to some degree in the best of Christians.  This is why the bible commands us do NOT place your hope in man for he cannot say for fix broken things because he himself is sinful and broken.

For many weak mined Christians they place hope in government and then wonder why their contentment is so uneven.  Only fools look to government to be a savior; only fools worship man.  Jesus Christ calls us only to hope in Him so that whatever goes wrong around us our happiness does not flinch an inch.  If America crumbled and came under a perverse dictator and we lost some of our beloved freedoms, will your happiness waver?  Even if it wavers a little is would expose that you are wrongly hoping in government to be your savior.  It is ok to be sadden at the sight of evil, but wrong to place your hope in anyone but God.  Diminished contentment is the key to knowing when you have wrong placed hope in something other than our Lord Jesus.

          (D) This might be the very reason why God sovereignty willed that this election happened the way it did, to expose what we are really hoping in.  Is it Jesus Christ our Lord as savior for the change and help we need for our lives, or man and his government to be our savior?

Does not a large problem lie in that fact our hearts are swollen and bursting like a balloon with greed and poisonous covetousness.  We irrationally suppose that newer and better shoes, computers, HD, houses, cars, orgasms, girlfriends, hobbies, and etc., are what we NEED.  However, Jesus Christ the real Savior tells us no, these are selfish wants that we don't need, which He will not be giving us.  Therefore, we conveniently trade in Jesus Christ for the government, or whatever it is, to save us form the hell of our God saying no to us.  We sinfully and irrationally seek our heaven and savior there.  The frank matter is that we hate Jesus Christ as a Savior because he will not act like Santa clause.  So we divorce ourselves form Him and His eternal glory for the smelly crap of man, thinking he is somehow able to be a savior and give us of all the goodies we want.

A favorite pastor I like to fallow is Mark Driscoll and Mars Hill Church.  A popular phrase he uses to describe this doctrine we are talking about is, "Functional Savior."  Without Jesus we find worthless functional saviors to save us, yet the never do.

At the beginning of this article I showed that because God created man to give Him glory, that man will indeed worship, for God made wired him this way.  This worship is suppose to go to the Creator, Jesus Christ.  Yet man, because of his rebellion and sin has ruined himself with corrosion, from inside out.  This is also another reason why man seeks so hard for a savior, because man knows he is messed up.  What is so irrational is that it was man who sinned and messed things up to began with.  Nevertheless, man turns to man seeking man to save him, when man was the one to screw things up to begin with!  It sounds stupid, I know.  But that is why Jesus, in great lovingkindness, came to save man, because he was so messed up.

Thus, man knowing he is messed up seeks functional saviors to save him from his hell.  I will not go into this long, but advertisement targets itself around this very idea.  Through the media we are told our hell is boredom so we are then told to find our functional savior in a new, ipod, HD T.V., Xbox and etc.  Through the media we are told our hell is being poor and then are told to seek our functional savior in a better job, in government, in the jackpot and etc.  Through the media we are told our hell is a lackluster sex-life, then are told that our savior is a new pill, or porn, or a new girlfriend or whatever.

          (E) I would like now to demonstrate how the religion of secularism has failed when practically implemented.  One of he obvious ways to see this is in this propaganda through education.  In history it was the Christian church who had a huge part in starting and making popular schools and education for the common citizen. Why?  Because Christianity was based from the bible, which is written revelation of God containing sometimes deep logic, the church sought to make sure all were educated so that the common man could read and study about the God he loved.  Also it was an act of love to their fellow mankind, who Jesus Christ told them the love and giving away education was one way they could love a society.

Yet, it was not until recently during the past 100 years that education has been hijacked by the religion of secularism.  It was a huge priority for secularism to take control of education, but why?  Because man is his own savior in this religion, then education is a must, in order to help man save himself.  Yet, there is great irony in this!  If man is his own savior and education is one of the major resources in this religion to help man save himself, then it has failed.

If you recall earlier were we talked about how in the name of secularism over 120 million human lives were murdered.  The question is how did these men and countries get the knowledge about this secularism in the first place?  The answer is that in the early 20th century secularism had penetrated into the higher education of the western hemisphere, hoping to help man save himself.  However, instead of saving himself man murdered himself!  This is what happens when evil, false and irrational worldviews get propagated, particular when broken man is somehow to save himself!

After Cambodia killed millions of its people in the name of evolutionally secularism working its way out in the practical form of communism, the professors who were responsible for teaching the Cambodia leadership of this world did something rather brash.  After they realized their worldview had such grave consequence and was so irrational the French professors responsible for teaching this secularism propaganda to the Cambodia government went and hung themselves.  There is good indication if a worldview does not work in real life then it is false.  Yet, the harsh reality is that working from within the framework of this foolish worldview Cambodia was justified for what it did.  What a bloodcurdling thought that is!

Here is the point: mankind, working with the wrong foundation that man is able to be his own savior, educated himself to help this cause.  Yet, the horrible reality is that the 20th century, which by far was the most educated century of the history of the world, has in returned been the most violent century of the history of the world.  What education did was simply help man become a better killing machine, killing over 120 millions human lives with their education.  By why?  See, from the bible we learn man is sinful and broken.  His mind and heart are sinful and broken.  Therefore, you may educate man all you want, but if his sin and brokenness are not first removed by a true Savior Jesus Christ, all you have accomplished is put a sharper sword in the hands of sinfulness and brokenness, of murders and demons.  This is the reason why the most educated century was the bloodiest century in our history, because neither man nor very educated man is able to be his own savior.

            (F) Like all religions secularism even has its own poems and songs.  Unlike Christianity who's songs focus on God (who actually saves), secularism because it looks inward to man for salvation, its worship lyrics are a little more narcissist, such as: Yes We can, yes We can, yes We can.

I wonder if professing Christians realize that if they were placing or investing any amount their hope in man or government while shouting or singing this that they were actually participating in demon worship.[13]  Anything you think, hope, act and feel more than Jesus Christ is idolatry.  Or anything you hope in, rely on as a savior other than Jesus Christ is idolatry.[14]

NIV Psalm 146:3, "Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save."  The worship of man, which is placing your hope in him (in whatever degree, whether it is one or man or many in government), is the essence of idol worship.  What does God say about this?  Corinthians 10:20, "Do I mean then that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons."[15]

For example what if a woman says she is a Christian and does not understand what the big deal is, that her boyfriend is living with her.  She says, "we love each other as if we were married."

Yet, the problem is that this woman, or person who says this, has one major issue.  They are worshiping their boyfriend more than Jesus Christ!  Their partner is their god and functional savior.  This woman is laying her body down, in front of this boy, in sacrifice to him.  We are told instead to be a sacrifice to Jesus Christ.  Romans 12:1, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship."  Our home is to be place for worshiping Jesus Christ, yet in this case this person is using her home to worship their boyfriend.  Her boyfriend is her god, her idol of spiritual worship.  Usually, people in this situation give the excuse they want their partner to be saved.  Yet, this is ridiculous, and foolish!  How will her boyfriend get the message that Jesus Christ is the supreme God to worship, when she is worshiping him instead?

Anything from food, spouses, children, careers, cars, hobbies, government, cell phones, relationships and entertainments are easily made into idols and gods that we worship in the place of our King Jesus Christ.

Many secular practitioners and atheist without using their intellect suppose they worship nothing or no one.  However, there are many demons thanking them for their worship of things other than Jesus Christ, given them the opportunity to take possession of their souls.  At the end of the day we will worship someone.

So I plead with my readers only worship Jesus Christ.  Only place your hope and trust in Him to be your Savior.  Jeremiah 17:7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD."

We need to understand that the battle here in America between the left and the right is huge.  Ultimately it is a battle for glory, which Savior is going to be honored as, The Best?  Will it be Jesus or will it be secularism and government?  Is Jesus a total Savior of the whole man or does man need to save himself through government, this then is the battle we face in 2008 both as a nation and within the church.

To conclude I say with a happy dependent shout to my Savior: Yes You Can, yes You Can, yes You can, Jesus Christ my Lord!

Segment 5: Selling out for a Bowl of Soup

Hebrews 12:16, "Look carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright."

I was talking to one of my employees before the election and he said something to me that floored me.  He and I are friends and talk about church and Jesus Christ, because we are both professing Christians.  He proceeded to tell me he was voting for Obama.  Furthermore, the only reason during our conversations for him giving Obama his vote was due to the fact my friend was hoping to receive the 1,000-dollar stimulus check promised by Obama.  In and of itself this statement, although appearing quite sallow, might not seem so harmful, but looking at the whole picture it becomes ghastly hideous.

See, in light of the murdering of millions of unborn human beings, this statement seems frightful to me.  Obama strongly supports and even labels himself a champion for the defense of all types and degrees of murdering helpless human babies in the name of women's rights.  Therefore, this election was not a mater of political issues or ideologies, but of life and death itself for millions of human children.

See, biblically no person, whether a man or woman, has the "right" to murder.  Although the elderly or children in the womb might make killing them very easy and convenient, yet the bible gives no warrant to this.  Just because killing might be easier does not make it more justifiable.  Yet, in the religion of secularism, were laws, such as survival of the fittest are eternal decrees, murder being changed from wrong to right does matter on the issue of easiness and future benefit of that killing.

I dare say any bible based Christian will look me in the eyes and tell me that the virgin Mary could have aborted Jesus Christ, and claimed as a woman she had the "right" to kill Him.  Why not?  Because they know God the Father looked at the very moment of conception by the Holy Spirit that Jesus was a human Child!  I have always wondered if America was about equal rights why men are treated less equal than a woman when it comes to abortion or murdering of human children.  Why does a woman has the "right" to murder and yet a man or another child does not have the right to murder?  This is the subjection of the stupid evilness and debasing irrationality that secularism has brought to the world!

Therefore, in this light, my friend who claims the title of Christian and even against the killing of helpless children or abortion, yet goes out and votes for a president who is against what he says he is against, seems frightful to me that he did is violating of his conscience only because he was going to receive a measly thousand dollars!

This, sharply reminds me of the story in the bible where the first-born twin Esau sold his birth right to his younger brother for a measly bowl of soup.  Yet, what does the bible record about such types of act?  We are told do not be a "fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright."  Nevertheless, my friend (and I suppose many like him) sold thousands and thousands of helpless babies away in murder, for a measly thousand dollars, or whatever reason they sold their conscience and those babies for!

My only hope for these Christians is that they say and do such thing out of complete ignorance not knowing what they are doing.  Esau did what he did, knowing good and well what he was doing, and God labels him not as a saint, but as "profane person."

I find it hard to take serious either the self proclaimed Christian or secularist when they find such things as stimulus checks, racial issues, the economy or the enlivenment more important than the slaughtering of countess of unborn babies.  This is exceedingly irrational!  I have no problem helping to preserve the earth we live on, but when something looks at trees more important than human murder I have a hard time relating on any level to that view or person.

Segment 6: Admire a true Savior

This citation below is from a book I have just finished writing.[16]  It is merely to be a means of grace to help my readers look to the true Savior, the Person of Jesus Christ to be our complete Savior, so that you may find compete peace and happiness in Him, giving Him true honor he properly deserves.

"As a Savior, Jesus Christ comes to us as a most brilliant and mighty conqueror who is infinitely beautiful in the eyes of those who see the preciousness of what it means to be saved from death, hell, sin and all the like.  As this world was wrecked by the effects of our sin and our lives ruined by our rebellion against the Almighty God, Christ entered on to the scene being "mighty to save... Traveling in the greatness of His strength."[17]  Those who see Christ as this experience joy inexpressible and their souls spill over with full of glory.

In what more glorious manner can the One who knocks at the door of our hearts be than of a loving Savior?  The thought of the cross and leaving His Father's arms to come to earth was not too hard for Him to endure.  Satan was not strong enough, the grave not deep enough, sin not to powerful enough, our failures were not low enough, our sin not gross enough, nor the cruelty of man nailing His hands and feet not to wicked for our Savior.  Indeed, He triumphed over it all and conquer it victoriously.  Therefore, we who see Him in this way long to be His disciples.  We long to admit Him accesses into our souls as the Savior-Shepard and we as the sheep who honor Him by being His teachable disciples.  Upon seeing a Savoir so beauty our hearts are melted to honor Him by becoming His disciples and following Him where He would lead us.  This is what is intended by Christ describing Himself as the Shepard and we as the sheep: He is a Savior.  He rescues the helpless sheep from the lion's mouth and leads us to green pastures.

His beauty shines brightly as a Savior for His hands are so soft and silken that he is able save the most broken feeble soul, for even a "bruised reed He will not break."[18]  Even the weakest find Him able to heal, redeem and apply His forgiveness to them no mater what circumstance they're in or who they are.  Yet, at the same time His hands are so strong and mighty that while He was most weak, hanging on the cross, He defeated the Devil who was called the god of this age.  The forgiveness and gifts (Holy Spirit) that His blood purchased are so effective that even the most wicked, sin shackled and harden soul are loosed from death and brought successfully into His kingdom of love.

Therefore, may all recognize that, the God of the ages, knocks on your door as a Savior.  We must be willing to receive Him as the great Shepard of our souls and we be willing to be the sheep who long to sit at His feet content to learn from Him as His disciples.  There is a way to honor a worthy and glorious Savior and that is to follow Him and to become His disciples.  Receive Him as such, and in this He will become yours and you His!"

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us... For this reason the gravest question before the Church is always God Himself, and the most [important] fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do, but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like"[19]

What comes into your mind when you think of Jesus Christ, who claimed to be the Creator of the world and its Savior?  Are they worthy enough to be pleasing to Him or displeasing Him, deserving of hell?  Is He your total Savior or do you need addition saviors?  The Lord Jesus Christ claimed either He will be our entire comprehensive Savior or nothing![20]   Which one is it for you?

[3] NAU Psalm 146:3

[4] Ephesians 4:18-19

[5] It is right to say that in hijackers of the Christianity have killed and other religions like Islam have killed, but the amazing thing is that all religions combined does not add up to the number of murders that the religion of secularism has committed!

[6] I know this sounds stupid but that's the point.  Secularism is based off illogical and evil epistemologies and theologies.  The reason it does not work in real life, when truly carried out, is because it is false, evil and irrational.

[7] The irony is that the worldview of secularism cannot even prove what morality is let alone prove a standard!

[8] I wish to say that I have great sympathy for this desire.  My point is simply this is not the governments role to make or force this to happen, but instead to lead, encourage and promote its citizens toward goodness.

[9] I want to give an alternative to this for my readers in case you are asking what alternative is there?  The government can do things that support and help the local church, and help-groups, which are establish in the country.  Helping them not forcing through taxing and redistributing.  The Government can place its own public support for the needy and promote a national marketing plan asking and encouraging for donations and help.  In this the people are not being force but are giving out of their own moral good and freedom.  This encouraging of a giving spirit would most likely have a domino effect throughout the land, so the promotion of a stronger society is establish.  If the government forces this through taxation then a strong national encouragement for giving is missed, morality and therefore the society is hurt not helped.   Place the power of help in the hands of the people, particularly the church, which is Her priority to help.

[10] 1 Corinthians 1:30, "Christ Jesus became for us wisdom from God -- and righteousness and sanctification and redemption."

[11] Ephesians 5:22-32

[12] Yet, this is not saying much for I find many people's confession as a servant and follower of Jesus as highly questionable, still...

Proverbs 26:12, "Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him."   A Christian hates his wisdom and secular wisdom, and therefore throws it aside while desperately hangs on the wisdom from Jesus Christ their Lord.   A servant of Jesus Christ seeks to save life, as he learned from His Master, not destroy them, even if they're in the womb.  His socialistic views show he ether does not understand what the bible says or does not agree with it.  I could go on but I will not.  Some might say I do not have a right to judge, yet according to the bible as a teaching I am command to judge and to distinguish between, good and bad, Godly and worldly, true and untrue. (1 Corinthians 5-6:5)

[13] This does not mean Obama is a demon is any way, but worship  (the placing of your hope) in anything but Jesus Christ, is in effect demon worship for this person.  A parent can idolize their own kids to the point it becomes demon worship, yet this does not turn those kids into demons, it means the parents are greatly sinning.  Anyone of us unknowingly can easily participate in demons worship, which is why the scripture warns to be on guard against such things.  This is how demons try to steal God's glory, although Jesus Christ will get it all back on the day of His Judgment.

[14] This does not mean you cannot find peace on and rely on your spouse in some ways.  What it does mean is that you cannot find peace or hope in your spouse in and of themselves.  Furthermore, you cannot rely on them or hope in them for your peace beyond the point if you lose them it ultimately means nothing to you, because only Jesus means everything to you. It means you get everything and place everything you need and desire from Jesus, so that you could lose your family, friends, body and the whole world yet none of your hope and peace is gone because ALL your hope and peace were only in Jesus your Lord.  Anything else would be idolatry.

[15] Sacrifice means anything you place your hope in as a function savior while giving anything of your time, money, emotions or positions to, therefore including shouting or singing.  NIV Romans 12, "To him be the glory forever! Amen.  Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship.

[16] The book is protectively called: The Blood if Jesus never fails me.

[17] Isaiah 63:1

[18] Isaiah 42:3

[19] A. W. Tozer, The Knowledge of Holy

[20] Matthew 10:37, "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me."  Luke 9:62, "But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
